A replacement pressure-washer hose must suit the machine, gun and any reel as well as the pressure rating. A connector that looks similar in a photograph may still have a different internal seal or coupling.
Record both ends before shopping
- Pressure-washer make, exact model and market version.
- Machine-end connection and whether the hose attaches through a reel.
- Gun-end connection, including the maker's coupling name or part reference.
- Rated pressure and temperature required by the machine.
- Whether you need a complete replacement or a compatible extension.
Do not treat M22 or quick-connect as a complete fit statement
Check the full fitting dimensions, sealing arrangement and manufacturer's compatibility list. Kärcher's hose finder demonstrates that even one manufacturer's range uses different combinations. Its US listings are examples of model-specific selection, not evidence that a hose fits the UK version of a similarly named machine.
Diagnose before replacing
Leaks and poor performance can have several causes. Follow the machine's shutdown and pressure-release procedure before inspection; do not search for a leak with your hands while pressurised. Replace damaged parts according to the maker's instructions instead of assuming a new O-ring will solve every leak.
The YAMATIC hose listed with M22-14 mm connections is an example of why the full connector specification matters. Check both ends and the approved application before buying.
