Mower Blades: When to Replace and How to Match the Part Number
Order a mower blade by the machine's exact model and the approved replacement part number. Length alone cannot establish compatibility.
Build a match checklist
- Machine model, serial range and deck configuration.
- Approved blade part number and whether a set is required.
- Length, centre fitting and any locating holes.
- Blade width, thickness, shape and intended cutting mode.
- Any required fasteners, washers or adaptors specified by the maker.
A blade described for mulching or collecting is not automatically an approved conversion for your mower. Confirm that the exact machine permits that arrangement.
Use the machine's service procedure
Isolation, blade orientation, tightening torque and thread treatment are model-specific. For example, EGO's LM2010E and LM2010E-SP manual specifies its own blade and procedure. Do not use a generic torque range or automatically add anti-seize to a blade bolt.
Before any inspection or work, follow the manufacturer's isolation instructions for that power source, including removable batteries, mains supplies or petrol ignition arrangements as applicable. Use the tools and protective equipment the manual requires. If you cannot identify the assembly or verify the procedure, use a competent service centre.
Choose the part, then decide who fits it
