YYWMWM Solar Metal Hanging Bird Feeder — White Large 5 lb Capacity, Squirrel-Resistant, LED Lighted

This thoughtfully engineered solar bird feeder combines durable metal construction with smart compartments and integrated lighting to invite cardinals, finches, sparrows and other wild birds to your yard while keeping squirrels at bay. Its hollow-out decorative shell lets you see seed levels at a glance, and the solar panel powers an LED that lights the feeder after dusk—no batteries required. Built drainage, ventilation and separate feeding areas make it practical for year-round use and easier to maintain than typical plastic or wooden feeders.

How does the solar light enhance the feeder’s use?

The built-in solar LED charges by day and automatically provides a gentle glow at night, extending the visual appeal of the feeder beyond daylight hours. It’s primarily decorative and helps you spot the feeder from a distance when placed among shrubs or on a porch.

• Integrated solar panel charges in daylight for nighttime illumination
• LED provides soft garden lighting—no electrical hookup or batteries
• Lighted feeder increases visibility and curb appeal after dark

Is this feeder really squirrel-proof and weather-resistant?

The feeder is constructed from rust-resistant, chew-resistant metal designed to withstand rain, wind and typical squirrel attempts to access seed. While no feeder can be 100% pest-proof, the sturdy casing and secure openings significantly reduce squirrel damage compared to flimsy designs.

• High-grade metal body resists rust and chewing
• Secure hanging hardware and small access points deter larger pests
• Drainage and ventilation holes prevent seed spoilage in wet weather

How do I fill and maintain the feeder?

Filling is quick: open either of the top feeding windows to pour seed into one of three compartments. The hollow design makes seed levels easy to check, and ventilation/drainage features reduce molding—simple rinses and occasional brushing keep it in good shape.

• Top-side filling windows for easy access and refills
• Three internal compartments let you offer different seeds simultaneously
• Removable or reachable interior for straightforward cleaning and drying

What kinds of birds will use this feeder?

The compartmented feeding areas accommodate a range of seed types to attract both small finches and larger songbirds. By separating seed types, you reduce resource competition and invite a more varied backyard flock.

• Small mesh section suits thistle and Nyjer for finches
• Larger openings accept sunflower and mixed seeds for cardinals, jays and sparrows
• Capacity up to 5 pounds minimizes frequent refilling
