You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Woodman's Pal is a handcrafted multi-use axe-machete with an ash wood handle and leather sheath built for chopping, trimming, digging and general outdoor fieldwork.
This tool blends a forward-weighted, laser-cut high-carbon blade with a lengthened ergonomic ash handle and an Amish-made leather sheath to create a versatile outdoor implement. Forged from 1074/1075 spring steel, heat-treated and powder-coated, the blade is finished, sharpened and assembled in Pennsylvania. The design updates a classic military-style brush axe into a tool meant for camping, hunting, bushcraft, land management, surveying and general survival tasks.
The blade’s forward-weighted profile concentrates force at the cutting edge, making single strokes effective on small saplings and efficient for repeated notching of larger material. The hardened steel and factory edge allow reliable cutting and can be maintained with a sharpening stone.
The ash wood handle is slightly lengthened to provide more torque and multiple grip positions for varied tasks. Finger grooves, a urethane finish and a final beeswax rub produce a secure, tactile surface that reduces hand fatigue during extended use.
The tool ships with a premium bridle-leather sheath hand-stitched by Amish craftsmen and treated with neat's-foot oil for durability. A secure brass snap and a belt loop make it convenient to carry on patrols, hikes or around camp.
The blade is precision laser-cut from high-carbon spring steel, then forged and heat-treated at high temperatures for strength. It arrives hand-sharpened and ready; routine maintenance involves stropping or re-sharpening with the included Lansky 280-grit stone and protecting the finish after use.
Who is this for? Woodman's Pal suits outdoorspeople who want a single, robust tool for multiple tasks: campers and backpackers clearing campsites, hunters and fishermen maintaining trails and processing brush, surveyors and land managers blazing lines, and bushcraft or survival enthusiasts who prefer a handcrafted, American-made tool. It’s also a gift choice for anyone who values durable materials, traditional workmanship and practical versatility.
Q: Is the Woodman's Pal made in the USA?
A: Yes. The blade is heat-treated and hand-sharpened, and the handle and sheath are handcrafted by Pennsylvania and Amish craftsmen in the USA.
Q: Can I sharpen the blade in the field?
A: Yes. It includes a full-size 280-grit Lansky stone for field sharpening and touch-ups.
