This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

This cedar bee house combines thoughtful beekeeping design with durable materials so you can support pollinators without constant maintenance. Built from western cedar and assembled with long-lasting deck screws, the box shelters replaceable paper tubes behind an extended roof, helping keep nests dry and shaded. A French cleat mounting system and an included guide make setup straightforward for gardeners, educators, and anyone wanting to boost local pollination.
The roof projects well beyond the entrance and the front face has a small setback, both preventing direct rainfall and excessive midday sun from reaching the tubes. The thicker cedar roof also resists warping and reduces heat transfer into the nesting tubes, so developing larvae remain in a more stable microclimate.
WHITEHORSE ships the house ready to hang using a French cleat system; you receive the cleat, screws, and a clear set of installation tips. Tubes are replaceable paper inserts, so you can swap them seasonally without dismantling the whole box, reducing disease risk and simplifying care.
This design targets mason bees and similar solitary species that nest in linear cavities. Place it in a sheltered, sunny spot (east- or southeast-facing) about 3–6 feet off the ground near flowering plants and a water source to increase occupancy chances.
WHITEHORSE uses western cedar for natural rot resistance and a thicker roof panel to extend service life. The box is joined with dado construction at the back and secured with decking screws instead of nails, creating a sturdier, longer-lasting habitat than typical hobby kits.
Who is this for? This WHITEHORSE bee house is suited for gardeners, backyard naturalists, teachers running outdoor learning projects, and anyone who wants to foster pollinators without frequent upkeep. It’s particularly helpful for people who prefer a ready-to-mount, well-built nesting box with replaceable tubes and clear guidance on how to attract solitary bees. Whether you’re creating habitat for better fruit set, offering an educational demonstration, or simply helping pollinators thrive, this durable cedar house offers a low-maintenance, long-lived option.
Q: Are the tubes reusable or replaceable?
A: The 6" paper tubes are replaceable; swap them seasonally to reduce disease risk and keep the wooden housing intact.
Q: Where is the best place to hang the bee house?
A: Mount it 3–6 feet high on an east- or southeast-facing wall, sheltered from strong winds and near flowering plants.
