Voulosimi Garden Pumice Rock is a lightweight, 3/8-inch horticultural mineral designed to improve aeration, drainage, and root health in cactus, succulent, bonsai and container soils.
When you need a stable, inert soil amendment that reduces compaction and encourages strong root systems, this 18-pound bag of crushed pumice provides consistent particle size and long-lasting structure. Unlike bark or perlite, pumice resists breakdown, holds a measured amount of moisture without waterlogging, and pairs well with cactus, succulent, bonsai mixes, or as a decorative vase filler and landscape top dressing.
Crushed pumice creates permanent pore space in potting mixes so air and water move freely around roots. The rigid, irregular particles prevent packing and maintain open channels that reduce the risk of root rot while still holding some moisture for thirsty roots between waterings.
This pumice is especially useful for cacti, succulents, and bonsai, which prefer fast-draining media and oxygenated root zones. It also works well blended into potting soil for orchids, houseplants in small pots, and specialty horticulture applications like hydroponic or aeroponic substrates.
Mix pumice into your existing soil to reach the desired drainage and texture—common ratios range from 10–50% depending on plant needs. For succulents and cacti, a 30–50% pumice blend increases drainage; for general container mixes, use 10–25% to improve porosity without drying too fast.
Pumice is a durable volcanic rock that resists decay, so it maintains structure far longer than organic amendments. Expect stable performance for years, making it a cost-effective choice for long-term containers, landscape projects, and reusable potting mixes.
Who is this for: Voulosimi Garden Pumice Rock is made for home gardeners, bonsai enthusiasts, succulent and cactus collectors, landscapers, and plant retailers who need a reliable, inert soil amendment. If you want better drainage, longer-lasting soil structure, and a mineral additive that won’t alter soil chemistry, this 3/8-inch, 18-pound pumice bag offers consistent particle size and versatile uses—from potting mixes to decorative vase fillers.
If you have additional questions about mixing ratios, plant-specific uses, or bulk options, please contact us and we’ll help you tailor the right blend for your plants.
Q: Can I mix this pumice with potting soil for succulents?
A: Yes. Mix 30–50% pumice into potting soil for succulents and cacti to improve drainage and aeration.
Q: Does pumice change soil pH or decompose?
A: No. Pumice is inert and long-lasting, so it won’t alter pH and resists decomposition.
