The VASALAID 5-Tine Broadfork is a heavy-duty, U-shaped steel broad fork designed to loosen, aerate, and prepare garden beds without turning the soil.
Engineered for home gardeners and small-scale growers, this broadfork combines a reinforced crossbar, five tempered tines, and non-slip rubber handles into a rust-resistant, easy-to-assemble tool. Constructed from thickened all-steel with a galvanized layer and powder coating, it helps break compacted soil layers and improve drainage and root penetration while minimizing disturbance to soil structure.
The U-shaped frame positions both handles and the crossbar to maximize leverage and reduce strain on your back. By stepping into the footholds and pulling back on the handles, you lift and loosen soil sections without repetitive bending.
This broadfork uses thickened, all-steel construction with a galvanized layer and powder-coated finish to resist rust and abrasion. High-frequency welded joints and heat-treated tines maintain shape through repeated use in challenging soil conditions.
Two soft, non-slip rubber handles reduce hand fatigue and give you better control when levering soil sections. The central pole is removable for compact storage, and assembly follows a simple screw-first method to keep setup quick and secure.
The five sharp, powder-coated tines are designed for loosening beds, improving aeration, and harvesting root crops like potatoes and perennials. It’s ideal for prepping planting rows, breaking compacted layers, and reducing soil compaction without inverting the soil horizons.
Who is this for: The VASALAID 5-Tine Broadfork fits gardeners who prefer tool-based soil care over mechanized tilling — whether you maintain raised beds, vegetable plots, or small market gardens. It’s suitable for gardeners who need a durable, low-maintenance tool for breaking up compacted soil and improving aeration but should not be used for tasks like cutting tree roots or moving heavy rocks. Keep out of children’s reach and follow the included assembly guidance for safe, long-lasting performance.
Installation tip: First secure the screws connecting the base to the pole, then fix the center-handle screw to ensure stable assembly and optimal leverage during use.
Q: Can the broadfork be disassembled for storage?
A: Yes. The center pole is removable and the tool disassembles with a few screws for compact storage.
Q: Is this broadfork suitable for rocky or root-filled soil?
A: It handles compacted soil well but avoid heavy rocks and large tree roots to prevent tine deformation.
