The Truper 2 lb Lane Hoe No. 2 is a heavy-duty cultivation tool featuring a 2-pound forged high-carbon steel head and a 54-inch North American ash handle designed for breaking, furrowing, and turning soil in large garden and farm plots.
Built for demanding outdoor work, this model (10618 / AL-2M) blends a hardened, precision-forged blade with a long, resilient wooden handle to deliver leverage, reach, and impact resistance. The lane-pattern No. 2 blade is shaped to move soil efficiently, while the reinforced socket connection reduces wobble and helps the head stay secure during repetitive use.
The blade is precision-forged from high-carbon steel and heat-treated for increased hardness so it can slice into dense soil without deforming. The lane-pattern geometry channels soil away as you push or pull, making repeated passes faster and less fatiguing.
The 54-inch handle is crafted from premium North American ash, known for balancing flexibility and toughness under stress. Its length increases leverage and reach, so you can maintain a comfortable posture while applying strong strikes or long pushing motions.
The hoe uses a reinforced socket connection between the head and handle engineered to minimize play and maintain alignment over time. That stronger fit helps keep the head seated during high-impact tasks, lowering the chance of separation during use.
This lane hoe is optimized for heavy earth-moving operations such as breaking hardpan, preparing deep beds, creating furrows, and clearing dense vegetation. It performs well in both agricultural settings and larger gardens where substantial soil turnover is required.
Who is this for: Farmers, landscapers, contractors, and serious gardeners who need a dependable, industrial-strength hand tool for repetitive soil management tasks will appreciate this lane hoe. If you require a long-handled hoe built to withstand frequent heavy use while offering reach and efficient soil movement, the Truper 2 lb Lane Hoe No. 2 is designed to meet those needs.
Q: What is the length and weight of the Truper lane hoe?
