TMEE's portable electric netting fence is a 49.6" high, 164' long, 9-strand (7 conductive) polymer mesh system with 14 fiberglass posts and double-spiked steel stakes designed to contain goats and other medium livestock while deterring predators.
This lightweight, bright-green fence combines a compact roll-up design with conductive strands and insulated lower wires to reduce grounding and protect small animals near the base. Built from polyethylene-reinforced conductive mesh, with durable fiberglass posts and carbon steel stakes, the system is intended for seasonal paddocks, rotational grazing, temporary pasture divisions, or as a perimeter barrier around beehives, gardens, and ranch areas. For full operation an external 0.5 J energizer (solar or AC/DC) is recommended but not included.
The TMEE netting creates a visible physical barrier with evenly spaced horizontal strands that deliver a corrective pulse when powered. The mesh tightens as posts are set, making the lower area denser to prevent young or curious livestock from slipping through. Because two bottom strands are insulated, the fence maintains voltage without easy grounding against wet grass.
TMEE recommends pairing the netting with a 0.5-joule energizer — solar or AC/DC — for reliable pulses without overloading the mesh. A solar energizer is ideal when portability and off-grid placement are priorities, while an AC/DC unit works well for permanent or semi-permanent installations close to power. Ensure the energizer is compatible with 0.5 J output for optimal balance of safety and effectiveness.
Installation is designed for single-person setup: unroll the netting, place posts at roughly 12.5–13.1 ft intervals, and drive the double-spiked steel stakes for secure anchoring. The lightweight roll and fiberglass posts make the system straightforward to relocate for rotational grazing or seasonal needs. Routine maintenance is minimal — check tension, vegetation contact, and energizer connections periodically.
The denser lower mesh and energized conductive strands are effective at discouraging many medium-sized predators (foxes, coyotes) and unwanted grazing animals from entering fenced areas. For beehives and garden protection the low mesh prevents small intruders from pushing under the fence, but poultry and very small animals (chickens, ducks) may not be reliably contained. Combine with good anchoring and an appropriate energizer for best results.
Who is this for: TMEE's electric netting is aimed at small farmers, homesteaders, and ranchers who need a portable, visible, and effective fencing solution for goats, sheep, hogs, deer control, and large dogs. It suits users who rotate pastures, protect apiaries or gardens from medium wildlife, and prefer a fast-install temporary fence that packs away compactly. Avoid using this netting as the sole barrier for poultry or very small animals.
Q: Is an energizer included with the TMEE netting?
A: No, the energizer is not included. TMEE recommends a 0.5-joule solar or AC/DC energizer for proper operation.
Q: Can this netting contain chickens or ducks?
A: No, the netting is not suitable for poultry or very small animals like chickens and ducks.
