The Suttner ST-36 Pit Boss Sludge Sucker is a pressure-washer-driven vacuum head that clears sludge, slurry, and liquid waste up to about 2,500 gallons per hour when paired with a 4 GPM pressure washer.
Designed for industrial wash bays, tanks, pits and other confined liquid-holding areas, the ST-36 converts the power of your pressure washer into a high-capacity sludge extraction tool. Its compact base mounts to a standard pressure-washer lance with a quick coupler, and a 15-foot, 1½-inch discharge hose carries the sucked material to a disposal container. By using a high-pressure venturi effect and a 0° nozzle, the unit lifts settled solids and ejects them rapidly—giving you a cost-effective alternative to manual or outsourced pit cleaning.
The Pit Boss couples directly to a pressure-washer lance using a quick coupler for fast setup. Once connected, its 0° tip focuses the water jet to create strong suction that lifts sludge, which is then pushed through the discharge hose to a waste tank. Performance scales with the pressure washer’s flow and PSI within the recommended range.
When paired with a 4 GPM pressure washer, the ST-36 can remove up to approximately 2,500 gallons per hour of liquid waste and slurry; lower-flow washers produce proportionally less throughput. It’s built to vacuum water, mud, sludge and sewage-like slurry from pits, tanks and sumps, not to replace grinders or macerators for large solids.
Position the ST-36 at the pit or tank bottom using the lance; the focused 0° nozzle maximizes suction and ejection efficiency. You can adjust pressure and flow within the 1,000–3,000 PSI window to match the consistency of material being removed. For heavier or coarser sludge, pre-rinse or agitate to break up compacted deposits before suctioning.
Routine inspection and basic care keep the Pit Boss reliable: check quick couplers, hose integrity and nozzle condition before each use. Flush the assembly with clean water after every job to prevent clogging from sticky slurry. Follow standard confined-space and waste-handling safety for disposal and PPE when working with sewage or hazardous fluids.
Who is this for: The Suttner ST-36 Pit Boss is aimed at automotive shops, industrial facilities, fleet maintenance yards, municipal services and contractors that need an economical, pressure-washer-driven option to remove liquid waste and settled sludge from pits, tanks and sumps. It suits teams that already own a compatible pressure washer and want to reduce off-site cleaning costs or speed up routine pit maintenance without investing in large vacuum trucks.
Q: What pressure washer specs are required for the ST-36?
A: Use a washer rated 1,000–3,000 PSI and up to 4 GPM for maximum performance; lower GPM reduces throughput.
Q: Can the unit handle sewage and thick mud?
A: Yes for liquid sewage and slurry; pre-agitate or screen out large solids—it's not a substitute for grinders.
