Soil Sunrise Citrus Tree Potting Soil Mix is a 12‑quart, ready‑to‑use potting medium formulated to improve aeration, drainage, nutrient retention, and pH balance specifically for indoor citrus trees like oranges, lemons, and limes.
Growing citrus in containers requires a soil that drains well yet holds enough water and nutrients for frequent feeding cycles. This Soil Sunrise blend combines ingredients selected to reduce root compaction and promote steady moisture without waterlogging, making it suitable for indoor fruiting trees and dwarf citrus varieties kept in pots.
The blend emphasizes superior aeration and drainage while retaining adequate moisture for roots between waterings. Improved pore space prevents soggy conditions that favor rot and encourages roots to spread rather than circle.
Soil Sunrise Citrus Tree Potting Soil is balanced to support citrus requirements without heavy, long‑lasting fertilizers built into the mix. It maintains a moderate pH suited to citrus and holds nutrients so follow‑up fertilizing is effective.
The 12‑quart bag works well for repotting young to medium potted citrus and as a topdressing or amendment in larger containers. Its versatility supports dwarf varieties, patio oranges, Meyer lemons, calamondin, and other indoor citrus types.
Repot by gently teasing roots and placing the tree so the root flare sits at pot rim level, filling around with the mix. Water thoroughly after potting, then follow typical citrus watering and fertilizing routines.
Who is this for: Home gardeners, balcony growers, and indoor plant enthusiasts who grow citrus in containers and want a purpose‑built potting medium that reduces compaction, improves root oxygenation, and supports steady nutrient availability. Ideal for people repotting young trees, refreshing tired container mixes, or creating a child and pet‑safe indoor citrus setup.
Q: Can I mix this soil with perlite or bark for larger pots?
A: Yes. Mix with perlite or coarse bark to increase drainage and aeration for very large containers or mature trees.
Q: How often should I repot indoor citrus using this mix?
A: Repot young trees every 1–2 years and larger specimens every 2–4 years, depending on root crowding and container size.
