This Sobalai two-chamber bat house is a weather-resistant wooden roosting box (15 x 11 x 4 in) designed to attract and shelter up to about 75 bats.
If you want to support local bat populations while reducing nighttime insect activity around your property, a purpose-built bat box gives bats a safe alternate roost. The Sobalai bat house combines a dual-chamber interior for easier landing and clustering with natural wood construction for long outdoor life. It ships with mounting screws and straightforward siting guidance so you can get it installed quickly.
The box uses two separate chambers and a recessed alcove to create sheltered vertical surfaces where bats can cling and cluster. The stacked chambers create temperature gradients so bats can choose their preferred microclimate. Rough interior surfaces help young and adult bats grip without additional shelters or materials.
Siting affects occupancy: mount the house 15–20 feet high on a pole or on the southeast side of a building when possible. It should receive at least six hours of direct sunlight daily to maintain favorable internal temperatures. Keep the area beneath clear so bats can approach and depart freely.
The Sobalai house is built from natural wood chosen for outdoor resilience and corrosion resistance, giving it multi-year service life. With proper mounting and periodic checks, it can remain functional for ten years or longer in many climates. The unit ships with screws for a secure installation.
At roughly 15 x 11 x 4 inches with two chambers, the box can accommodate a colony of up to about 75 bats, depending on species and local conditions. Providing alternate roosts reduces the chance bats seek shelter in chimneys or attics and supports their role in night-time insect control and pollination. Installing one or more houses supports local wildlife without direct human-bat contact.
Who is this for: Homeowners, gardeners, farmers, and wildlife enthusiasts who want a durable, easy-to-install solution to encourage bat roosting near their property. Choose Sobalai if you need a natural-wood bat house with clear mounting guidance, multi-year durability, and a design focused on practical bat landing, clustering, and temperature choice.
Q: How high should I mount the bat house?
A: Mount it about 15–20 feet high on a pole or building face for best occupancy and flight clearance.
Q: Does the bat box come with mounting hardware?
A: Yes, the Sobalai bat house includes screws for secure attachment; additional pole or bracket may be needed.
