Built for gardeners and small-scale growers who want a dependable, low-profile mainline, this drip irrigation tubing balances durability with flexibility. The hose is engineered to accept side taps, making it simple to add barbed emitters or 1/4" feeder lines without specialty tools. Its kink- and leak-resistant construction lets you route water along beds, containers, and raised boxes while staying discreet under mulch or soil surface coverings.
Tap points are made to accept barbed drip emitters and 1/4" feeder tubing for a direct connection. You can punch a small hole with a standard drip punch and push the barbed emitter into the tubing; the barb secures the fitting and prevents leaks under normal operating pressure.
The tubing combines tough wall thickness with flexible material to curve around beds, pots, and landscape features without creasing. Its formulation reduces the tendency to kink while still allowing tight bends when you need to navigate corners or tuck lines under mulch.
Installation is straightforward: unroll the 100-foot mainline, cut to length with scissors or shears, and add emitters where needed. No trenching is required; you can run it on the surface and hide it later with mulch or shallow burial for a tidier look.
The product is designed for repeated use across seasons. Its material stands up to routine handling, staking, and cover materials; for winter storage, drain and coil the line to extend service life and avoid freeze damage.
Who is this for: This 100-foot Rocky Mountain Goods 1/2" drip irrigation mainline is ideal for home gardeners, community plots, and small farms who need a reliable, easy-to-configure backbone for targeted watering. If you want to run multiple 1/4" drip feeders, set up drip zones without digging trenches, or create a low-visibility irrigation layout under mulch, this tubing gives you a durable, adaptable foundation.
Q: Can I connect this tubing directly to my faucet?
A: Yes with the right adapter. Use a standard garden hose-to-drip-system adapter and pressure regulator to connect to a faucet safely.
Q: Is the tubing safe to bury under mulch?
A: Yes. It can be staked and covered with mulch for discreet placement while maintaining water flow to emitters.
