Engineered to match the dimensions and fit of Hayward part numbers SPX1082CA, SP1082C and Aladdin B-152, each basket slides into place and works with a range of SP1082–SP1087 and related models. The durable plastic construction and removable handle make emptying, rinsing, and reinstalling fast so skimmer performance returns without professional help.

Will this basket fit my Hayward skimmer model?

Check the underside of your existing skimmer basket or your skimmer cover for the model stamp before purchasing. The Porscan SPX1082CA replacement matches the diameter and depth of common Hayward automatic skimmer baskets, so it fits directly in most SP1082-series housings without modification.

• Top outer diameter: 6.85 inches — aligns with many SP1082-series skimmer openings.
• Bottom outer diameter: 6.5 inches — designed for proper seating inside the throat.
• Depth: 4.9 inches — sufficient volume for typical leaf and debris loads.
• Compatible list: SP1082, SP1083, SP1084, SP1085, SP1086, SP1082T, SP1084T, SP1075/1075T, SP1076, SP1077.

How does the removable handle improve maintenance?

The integrated removable handle lets you lift the basket out quickly and avoids fumbling when it’s wet or full of debris. It also allows easy installation of skimmer socks or liners and makes rinsing and inspection faster, cutting the time spent on routine cleaning.

• Quick-release handle for safe, one-handed removal.
• Handle design keeps fingers clear of sharp debris and edges.
• Removable for compact storage and easier rinsing under a hose.
• Simplifies adding or replacing skimmer socks and liners.

What materials and durability can I expect?

Porscan builds this basket from heavy-duty plastic intended to resist pool chemicals, UV exposure, and repeated handling. While no plastic is indestructible, the thicker molded walls and reinforced rim reduce the chance of cracking under normal use compared with cheaper thin-walled alternatives.

• High-strength plastic construction for long service life.
• Reinforced rim to maintain shape and seat securely in the skimmer throat.
• Mesh pattern sized to trap leaves, twigs and typical pool debris without blocking water flow.
• Two-basket pack gives a spare on hand for rotation or immediate replacement.

How do I confirm this replaces my current part number?

Replacement compatibility is easiest to verify by comparing the part numbers printed on your existing basket or in your skimmer manual. Porscan lists compatibility with Hayward SPX1082CA, SP1082C and Aladdin B-152 as confirmed fits; if your basket number matches or falls within the SP1082–SP1087 family, this unit is likely correct.

• Look for markings under the basket or on the skimmer cover for exact model codes.
• Compare the listed dimensions (6.85" top OD, 6.5" bottom OD, 4.9" depth) to your existing part.
• Contact customer support with a photo if the marking is worn or unclear.
