Pool Blok Pumie pumice stones are a chemical-free abrasive tool that scrapes away lime, rust, and mineral deposits from pool tile, grout, concrete and plaster without draining the pool.
When mineral scale builds at the waterline or plaster picks up stubborn stains, a manual abrasive often removes deposits faster than chemicals alone. The Pool Blok Pumie 12-pack supplies natural pumice scouring sticks sized to float and conform to curved tile and plaster, letting you scrub away calcium and rust spots with controlled pressure. These pumice stones are intended for hard surfaces — always test a small hidden area first to confirm compatibility.
The pumice is a naturally porous volcanic rock that abrades mineral deposits while leaving ceramic glaze intact when used gently. Floating design keeps the stone accessible at the waterline, and the size makes it easy to hold for targeted scrubbing.
Used with light to moderate pressure, the pumice is safe for plaster, grout and concrete surfaces but can be too aggressive on softer finishes. Avoid power scraping and always try a test spot; the abrasive effect is effective because it physically removes deposits rather than dissolving them.
Pumice provides an additive-free cleaning option that reduces reliance on acidic chemicals and can be used where you prefer mechanical removal. It won’t neutralize embedded stains that require a chemical reaction, but it excels at scraping away surface scale and rust deposits.
Wet the stone and the stain area, then rub gently with back-and-forth motions until the deposit loosens. After use, rinse the pumice and let it air dry; discard if it becomes overly worn or breaks into small abrasive fragments that could scratch delicate finishes.
Who this product is for: Pool Blok Pumie pumice stones suit pool owners, service technicians and facility managers who need a reliable, non-chemical tool for removing waterline mineral deposits, rust spots and plaster discoloration. They are ideal for targeted spot-cleaning on ceramic tile, grout and concrete surfaces, and handy as a multipurpose scouring stick for hard-water stains in bathrooms. If you have delicate finishes like vinyl liners or fiberglass, consider testing a hidden area first or choose a softer cleaning method.
Q: Can I use Pumie on vinyl or fiberglass pools?
A: No, avoid vinyl and fiberglass. Test a hidden spot first; pumice is abrasive and may scratch softer finishes.
Q: Do these stones float so I can clean without draining the pool?
A: Yes, the Pumie stones float, allowing you to reach and scrub the waterline without lowering pool water.
