Picatu 2" x 100 ft Backwash Hose for Pools — Heavy-Duty 3-Layer PVC, Aluminum Camlock C & E Fittings

Picatu's 2" x 100 ft backwash hose is a heavy-duty, 3-layer PVC discharge hose with reinforced polyester, aluminum Type C and E camlock fittings, and stainless-steel clamps for secure pool backwashing and drainage.

This Picatu pool backwash hose is built to move large volumes of water reliably during filter backwash, pump transfers, or temporary site drainage. With a full 100-foot length and a 2-inch inside diameter, the hose reduces the need for seams or extensions while offering a working pressure rated to 90 PSI. Its three-layer construction, reinforced center, and corrosion-resistant hardware make it suitable for above-ground and inground pools, plus a range of utility drainage tasks beyond the pool deck.

How does this hose make backwashing simpler?

The hose connects quickly to common pump and filter camlock ports, letting you route waste away from the pool fast. The slide-in Type E male adapter and Type C female coupler lock with brass cam levers so you can engage the connection without tools and minimize leaks during operation.

• 100 ft length keeps the discharge point well away from pool water and landscaping.
• 2" inside diameter supports high flow rates for faster backwash cycles.
• Camlock C & E fittings install by sliding and clamping—no thread tape required.
• Stainless steel clamps and brass levers resist corrosion from wet environments.

What makes the Picatu hose durable in wet, outdoor environments?

The hose uses a three-layer PVC construction with a polyester-reinforced middle layer to resist kinking, tearing, and pressure-related failure. Fittings are aluminum with brass cam levers and stainless-steel clamps, chosen to reduce rust and keep connections tight season after season.

• Outer PVC resists abrasion and UV exposure around pool decks.
• Reinforcement yarn prevents twisting and maintains internal integrity under flow.
• Aluminum camlock fittings are lighter than steel yet corrosion-resistant.
• 90 PSI working pressure handles typical pump discharge demands safely.

Can I use this hose for other jobs besides pool backwash?

Yes — the design suits many temporary and semi-permanent drainage tasks. Users commonly repurpose it for irrigation runoff, construction dewatering, equipment pump discharge, and factory or agricultural drainage where a flexible, long reach hose is needed.

• Compatible with pump and filter camlock outlets for portable pumps.
• Flexible enough to run over uneven ground or around obstacles.
• Reusable across seasons; store clean and dry to prolong service life.
• Works with both above-ground and inground pool systems where 2" fittings are standard.

How easy is assembly and storage for the 100 ft length?

Assembly is straightforward: slide the E male adapter into the C female coupler, press the brass cam levers down to lock, and verify the stainless-steel clamps are seated. For storage, drain fully and coil loosely to avoid sharp bends; keep in shaded, dry storage to limit UV degradation.

• No specialized tools required for normal hookup.
• Drain, coil, and hang or store on a wide-diameter reel to prevent kinks.
• Inspect clamps and cam levers periodically for tightness and wear.
• If cutting or joining is required, use proper camlock adapters and stainless clamps.

Who is this for: Pool service professionals, homeowners with medium-to-large pools, landscapers, and contractors who need a dependable, long-reach discharge hose. If you require a resilient, easy-to-connect hose for seasonal backwashing or temporary drainage jobs, the Picatu 2" x 100 ft backwash hose offers a balance of flow capacity, hardware durability, and practical length for most residential and light commercial applications.
