You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

These 39-inch black step-in pig tail posts from MTB Supply are a 10-pack of heavy-duty, insulated metal stakes designed to hold electric wire, polywire, or tape for temporary fencing and animal control.
Built for fast installation and reliable temporary enclosures, these steel pigtail posts provide a rugged, easy-to-use alternative to wooden posts or plastic stakes. Each post measures 39" overall with about 32" above ground, a welded 7" two-pronged foot for stability in varied soils, and an insulated pigtail clip that secures electrified wire or polytape. Sold in convenient 10-count bundles, they suit rotational grazing, short-term containment, garden protection, and seasonal barriers.
Each pig tail post is engineered to carry up to three separate conductive lines safely spaced up to 35" high. The insulated pigtail clip lets you run wire, polywire, or polytape without shorting to the steel shaft.
The two-pronged 7" foot base is welded for strength and gives better purchase in softer or medium soils compared with single-stake designs. For compacted or rocky ground, the step-in style still installs quickly but may require a pilot hole or a heavier tamp for long-term stability.
Yes — the pigtail section is insulated to prevent unwanted grounding against the metal shaft, allowing a live wire connection where needed. As with any electric fence component, follow your energizer and local safety guidelines for installation and signage.
These steel pig tail posts are built for repeated use: they slide in and out of the soil without splitting or losing their shape, making them a cost-effective choice for movable fencing. Finishes and steel gauge resist routine outdoor wear, but longevity depends on exposure, storage, and soil chemistry.
Who is this for? MTB Supply's 10-pack of 39" pig tail step-in posts suits farmers, homesteaders, and homeowners who need quick, temporary fencing solutions. If you rotate pastures, protect garden beds from wildlife, or set up short-term perimeters for events or maintenance, these posts offer a balance of strength, portability, and wire-handling that makes frequent setup and takedown efficient. They are especially helpful for containing young livestock like calves, dividing grazing paddocks, or adding a flexible electric line to sensitive landscape areas where permanent posts aren’t desirable.
Q: How deep do these posts go into the ground?
A: About 7 inches of the two-pronged foot anchors below ground, leaving roughly 32 inches exposed.
Q: Can I use these with a solar fence charger?
A: Yes, they work with solar or mains energizers when installed with proper isolation and wiring practices.
