Monument Grills Stainless Steel Smoker Box 14.76" Long — Reusable, Perforated Lid for Gas Grills

The Monument Grills A007 is a heavy-duty stainless steel smoker box designed to add wood-smoke flavor to gas grills while containing ash and resisting rust.

If you want a simple, durable way to introduce real smoke into your gas grill without constant flare-ups or messy cleanup, this reusable smoker box fits directly onto many Monument models and other compatible grills. Built from stainless steel with a perforated lid, it holds wood chips or herbs and releases controlled smoke while keeping embers and ash contained. Its long, narrow shape is made to sit near burners and warming racks so smoke reaches food evenly.

How does this smoker box create smoky flavor on a gas grill?

Fill the box with soaked or dry wood chips, place it above a gas burner or heat source, and the heat will smolder the chips, producing smoke that flavors food. The perforated lid moderates airflow so chips smolder rather than flare, giving a steadier smoke output for low-and-slow or quick searing sessions.

• Holds aromatic hardwood chips or fresh herbs for varied profiles.
• Perforated lid controls oxygen to reduce flare-ups.
• Narrow footprint fits along burner bars and warming racks.
• Stainless steel construction resists rust from high heat and moisture.

Will it fit my grill and how do I position it?

The A007 is listed as compatible with many Monument models and common configurations; its 14.76" length and slim profile make it suitable for placement on burner grates or under a cooking grate near heat. For best smoke circulation, set the box directly above the burner you intend to use or between burners for indirect smoking.

• Dimensions: 14.76" x 2.36" x 1.41" for long, narrow grill bays.
• Compatible with numerous Monument Mesa and other model numbers.
• Place over a medium-low burner for steady smoldering.
• Can be used for direct or indirect smoking depending on placement.

How do I load and maintain the smoker box?

Loading is straightforward: add chips or herbs, close the perforated lid, and light the grill as usual. After use, let the box cool, dump ashes into a safe container, and wipe or rinse; stainless steel allows easy cleaning and long-term use without flaking or significant corrosion.

• Use small hardwood chips for quick smoke, larger chunks for longer sessions.
• Soaking chips is optional—dry chips ignite faster, soaked chips smolder longer.
• Empty cold ashes into a noncombustible receptacle; hand-wash and dry to prevent water spots.
• Perforated lid keeps ash contained for simpler cleanup.

Is the build quality reliable for repeated use?

Constructed from stainless steel, this smoker box is built to withstand grill heat cycles and outdoor conditions better than thinner metal alternatives. Users can expect durable performance with routine cleaning and proper storage away from the elements when not in use.

• Heavy-gauge stainless steel resists bending and corrosion.
• Perforated lid designed to last through many smoke sessions.
• Reusable design reduces waste compared with foil packet methods.
• Simple geometry helps avoid hotspots and warping.

Who is this for: The Monument Grills A007 smoker box is ideal for home cooks who want authentic wood-smoke flavor on a gas grill without complex setups. It's suited to owners of compatible Monument models and anyone who prefers a reusable, easy-to-clean accessory over disposable foil methods. If you grill often and want a dependable, low-maintenance way to experiment with different wood or herb profiles, this stainless steel smoker box provides a practical solution.
