Malaka Spa Filter Cartridge FD2002 2-Pack — Replacement for PRB35/FC2385, OEM Fit, Restores Flow

Malaka FD2002 is a direct-fit replacement spa filter cartridge (2-pack) engineered to trap debris and help preserve water clarity in hot tubs compatible with PRB35-IN, C-4335 and FC2385 models.

These two replacement cartridges reproduce the original filter geometry and pleat area to restore flow and filtration performance in many common spa systems. Made to the dimensions of the OEM-style FD2002, each cartridge fits where standard PRB35/FC2385 filters are specified and offers a straightforward swap-out for routine maintenance. Below you’ll find quick answers to the most common purchase and compatibility questions along with the key specs to confirm fit.

How do I confirm this filter fits my spa?

Measure your current cartridge and compare against the FD2002 dimensions. This Malaka replacement matches the essential measurements of many PRB35-IN, C-4335 and FC2385-style filters so it installs without adapters when sizes align.

• Length/Height: 9-1/4" (23.5 cm)
• Outer diameter: 4-15/16" (12.5 cm)
• Top inner diameter (open): 2-1/8" (5.4 cm)
• Bottom inner diameter (open): 2-1/8" (5.4 cm)
• Sold as a 2-pack for replacing both cartridges or keeping a spare

What maintenance benefits will I notice after replacing filters?

Swapping old, clogged cartridges for fresh Malaka FD2002 elements helps restore proper water circulation and reduces strain on pumps. New pleated media captures dirt and particulates more effectively than worn filters, improving the appearance and overall turnover of spa water.

• Restores designed flow rate and pressure balance
• Reduces backwash and heavy chemical use caused by clogged filters
• Extends pump and heater life by easing workload

How do I install and clean these replacement cartridges?

Installation is a simple pull-and-replace: remove the old cartridge, rinse the filter well, and insert the Malaka FD2002 until seated. Routine maintenance includes rinsing with a hose after every few weeks and deep-cleaning with a filter cleaner monthly or as needed.

• Turn off power, remove filter housing cover, and pull out old cartridge
• Rinse pleats with a spray nozzle; soak periodically in filter-clean solution
• Reinstall by aligning inner bore, then secure housing and restart system

What should I expect from the material and build quality?

Malaka FD2002 cartridges are manufactured to match OEM-style pleat count and media area, providing consistent capture of fine debris without collapsing under normal spa pressures. Each cartridge has open top and bottom bores to fit standard filter housings and to allow unrestricted flow when correctly installed.

• Durable pleated media designed for repeated rinsing and periodic chemical cleaning
• Rigid core and end caps to maintain shape and prevent collapse
• Two cartridges per pack so you can replace both filters at once
