Legigo 30 Quarts Organic Perlite is a coarse, pH-neutral volcanic amendment that improves drainage, aeration, and root space for indoor plants, succulents, cacti, and soil-less mixes.
Legigo’s horticultural perlite arrives in a heavy-duty resealable pouch containing 30 quarts of coarse, uniformly sized white perlite. Lightweight and long-lasting, this volcanic glass product resists compaction, holds moisture while improving drainage, and is commonly used for potting mixes, cactus blends, carnivorous plant soils, and hydroponic or soilless systems. The package is designed to keep the perlite dry and easy to pour for repeat use.
Adding perlite to potting soil increases pore space so roots get oxygen and excess water drains away. It breaks up heavy or compacted mixes, reducing root rot risk by letting moisture move freely while still retaining some water for plant uptake.
This coarse-grade perlite is ideal for cactus and succulent top layers, carnivorous plant substrates, general potting mixes, and hydroponic media. It’s also useful in creative projects like floral arrangements and miniature landscapes where the chunky texture adds breathability and clean aesthetics.
Mix ratios vary depending on plant type: succulents and cacti need a higher proportion, while tropical houseplants need less. Start with 10–30% perlite in standard potting soil, and increase to 50% or more for cactus mixes or fast-draining blends.
Legigo’s perlite is supplied in a heavy-duty resealable pouch that keeps contents dry and protected from light. The pouch makes measuring and pouring easier, lets you store leftover perlite cleanly, and helps maintain product quality between uses.
Who is this for? Legigo 30 Quarts Organic Perlite is designed for hobbyists and experienced growers alike who need a reliable soil amendment to improve drainage and aeration. It's well suited to indoor gardeners tending succulents, cacti, carnivorous plants, container vegetables, and anyone using hydroponic or soilless setups. If you want a clean, long-lasting, easy-to-store perlite that helps keep potting mixes light and roots healthy, this product fits a wide range of indoor gardening needs.
Q: Is Legigo perlite safe for indoor plants?
A: Yes. This horticultural perlite is inert, pH-neutral volcanic material suitable for potting mixes, succulents, cacti, and hydroponic use.
Q: Can I reuse perlite from potting soil?
A: You can reuse washed and sterilized perlite, but performance declines after heavy use. Replace if it becomes soiled or compacted.
