The LawnMaster OcuMow™ VBRM601YCM MAX is a perimeter-wire-free robotic mower that automatically cuts small to medium lawns (about 2,000–3,500 sq ft) using optical navigation, obstacle avoidance, and a simple drop-and-go setup.
Designed to make routine mowing hands-free, OcuMow pairs a wide-angle camera with ultrasonic sensors so it recognizes grass areas, steers around objects, and returns to work without a buried boundary wire. It includes a rechargeable 24V battery, magnetic strip segments to define no-go zones, and extra blades, giving you a mostly tool-free way to maintain a tidy, fertilized-feeling lawn with minimal noise.
OcuMow uses optical navigation — a camera plus onboard sensors — to distinguish turf from non-turf surfaces and plan its path. The mower combines visual mapping with bump and ultrasonic feedback to stay within the lawn area, so you don’t have to install an entire buried perimeter system.
This model is optimized for small to medium yards rated roughly 2,000–3,500 square feet and can run for up to four hours on a full charge. It tackles slopes up to 35% thanks to aggressive tread and a robust drive system, making it suitable for modestly uneven terrain.
Setup is intentionally simple: place OcuMow on the lawn, attach the battery, push start, and the mower begins mapping and cutting — no app, no buried wire, and no outdoor power outlet required. For added control, the included magnetic strip establishes no-go areas where you don’t want the mower to enter.
OcuMow leaves fine clippings that act as natural mulch, returning nutrients to the soil and reducing the need for bagging. For a clean boundary finish, a clearly defined perimeter or occasional edging with a trimmer is recommended; robotic mowers generally don’t replace precise manual edge trimming.
Who is this for: Homeowners with small to medium lawns who want a low-noise, low-effort mowing solution without digging or wiring. OcuMow fits yards where a perimeter-wire-free workflow and obstacle-aware navigation matter — especially if you prefer a mostly set-and-forget device that mulches clippings and handles modest slopes. If you need precise edge trimming or manage very large properties, complement with a trimmer or consider a larger-capacity mower instead.
Q: Do I need to bury a perimeter wire for OcuMow to work?
A: No, OcuMow uses optical navigation and includes magnetic strip for optional virtual boundaries.
Q: Can OcuMow handle steep areas of my yard?
A: Yes, it climbs slopes up to 35% using deep-tread wheels and a strong drive system.
