If you need a reliable, portable way to clear accumulated water without hauling buckets or wiring a system, this pump is built for that job. The Hexago pump delivers up to 2,300 gallons per hour through a 1/3 horsepower motor, includes a long 33-foot grounded cord, and features an automatic on/off float switch and thermal protection for safer operation.
The built-in automatic switch senses water depth and starts the pump when water reaches about 4/5". It then stops when the water level falls to approximately 2/5", so you don’t need to monitor the cover constantly. This prevents overrun and saves battery or electricity use compared with manual operation.
The Hexago pump is UL safety listed and includes thermal overload protection that stops the motor if it overheats. A strainer base prevents large debris from entering the pump, keeping it stable on cover surfaces and extending service life. A grounded three-prong plug and quality housing help reduce risk during outdoor or wet use.
With a maximum flow rate of 2,300 gallons per hour and a maximum head of about 20 feet, the pump moves water fast for cover rescue and drainage tasks. It works well on pool covers, hot tub covers, rooftops, tarps, window wells and boat covers. For longer runs, the included check valve and standard 3/4" GHT fittings make hose connection straightforward.
The pump ships with multiple connectors — a 90° elbow 3/4" GHT, a straight 3/4" GHT, and a quick-connect plus a check valve — so you can adapt to common garden hoses and drain lines. The long 33-foot cord gives flexibility in outlet placement; the three-prong plug ensures a grounded connection where outlets are available. These features make it easy to use with existing hoses and outdoor plumbing systems.
Who is this for? If you own a pool, hot tub, rooftop with water-collecting covers, seasonal tarps, or need a portable utility pump for garden and home chores, Hexago’s automatic pool cover pump is made to simplify water removal. It suits homeowners and property managers who want a safe, reasonably powerful, plug-and-play solution that starts and stops on its own, requires minimal setup, and stores easily between uses.
Q: What power and flow rate does the Hexago pump deliver?
A: It has a 1/3 HP motor and moves up to 2,300 gallons per hour with a maximum head of about 20 feet.
Q: Does the pump automatically stop when water is gone?
A: Yes. The automatic float switch turns it on at roughly 4/5" and off at about 2/5" to prevent dry run.
