Gueevin 400-piece mason beehive tubes are 6 inches long, 5/16" diameter cardboard nesting inserts designed to expand or replenish solitary bee hotels and boost pollination in gardens.
These compact paper tubes provide ready-made nesting cavities for solitary pollinators such as mason bees, making it easy to outfit or repair bee hotels, condos, or DIY nest boxes. Manufactured from sturdy paperboard, each tube is cut to a standard 15 cm (6 in) length with an internal diameter around 8 mm (5/16 in), a size widely accepted by many species of solitary bees. The pack of 400 tubes supplies enough inserts for multiple nests, seasonal replacements, or sharing with fellow gardeners and beekeepers.
The tubes slide into most modular bee houses and replace worn or soiled inserts without tools. If a tube is slightly too long for a cavity, it can be trimmed cleanly to fit; short lengths can be grouped in a compartment to provide the correct depth for nesting females.
Made from dense paperboard, the tubes resist crushing and retain shape when kept dry and sheltered. For outdoor use, install tubes inside a protected housing or under eaves to minimize direct rain exposure; periodically replace tubes each season for hygiene and longevity.
Providing nesting sites attracts solitary bees that forage locally, increasing pollination for fruit trees, vegetables, and flowering ornamentals. A cluster of tubes in close proximity helps females nest and lay eggs near abundant floral resources, which can enhance fruit set and garden productivity over the season.
A single small bee condo may use 20–50 tubes, so a 400-piece pack supplies many houses or seasonal changes. Rotate or replace tubes yearly, and store unused tubes in a dry, ventilated place until needed to maintain their shape and cleanliness.
Who is this for: Gardeners, backyard fruit growers, pollinator advocates, hobby beekeepers and educators who maintain solitary bee hotels and want an affordable, bulk supply of standardized nesting tubes. The Gueevin 400-pack is practical for community gardens, schools, small orchards, or anyone building or repairing multiple nest boxes and seeking an easy-to-install, species-appropriate nesting insert.
Q: What species use 5/16" (8 mm) tubes?
A: Many mason and solitary bees prefer 8 mm diameters; it's a common size for early spring mason bee species.
Q: How often should I replace the tubes?
A: Replace nesting tubes once per year to reduce parasites and maintain nest hygiene.
