GOUNENGNAIL’s 36-inch 2‑in‑1 soil probe and grounding rod is a heavy‑duty, galvanized steel tool that doubles as a probe and a ground rod with an integrated clamp for fast, reliable wire connections.
This tool combines a long, 3/8" diameter probing shaft, a rubber‑insulated T‑handle and a built‑on ground clamp so you can test, locate and establish temporary grounding quickly. Built from hot‑dip galvanized steel to ASTM A‑153 standards, it resists corrosion and provides the tensile strength and conductivity needed for fieldwork. The insulated T‑handle improves grip and reduces the risk of electric shock when working with energizers, electric fences or other powered devices.
The combined probe and grounding rod eliminates the need to carry two separate tools when setting up temporary grounds, locating buried lines or testing soils. You probe depth and, if needed, secure your grounding wire in seconds using the attached clamp instead of fetching a separate rod and connector.
Yes — the rod was designed with temporary and movable grounding applications in mind, making it a practical choice for electric fences and energizers. The clamp provides a solid electrical connection while the galvanized steel shaft maintains conductivity and resists outdoors corrosion.
The rod meets ASTM A‑153 hot‑dip galvanizing requirements for dependable rust protection and mechanical strength. The rubber‑insulated T‑handle protects hands from abrasion and offers some electrical insulation during routine connections and probing tasks.
The probe’s length and rigidity make it useful for detecting changes in soil density and locating buried pipes, cables or markers. Landscapers and contractors can insert the probe near fixtures or along lines to confirm placement or test soil without heavy machinery.
Who this is for: The GOUNENGNAIL 36" 2‑in‑1 Soil Probe & Grounding Rod is built for contractors, fence installers, farmers, landscapers, utility locators and DIYers who need a reliable, portable grounding option that doubles as a probing tool. If you frequently move temporary fences, perform on‑site tests, locate buried lines, or need a corrosion‑resistant, easy‑to‑connect grounding rod, this tool saves time and gear space while meeting common field standards.
Q: What material is the rod made from?
A: The rod is hot‑dip galvanized steel meeting ASTM A‑153 for corrosion resistance and strength.
Q: Can I attach common fence wire to the clamp?
A: Yes, the included ground clamp is designed to accept standard grounding and fence wires for quick connections.
