Fluidra Rain Bird TBOSPSOL potted latching solenoid — fits DV/PGA valves, 150 psi, prewired leads

The Fluidra Rain Bird TBOSPSOL is a compact potted latching solenoid designed to retrofit and operate Rain Bird DV, PGA and other compatible valve series reliably under up to 150 psi.

This battery‑operated latching solenoid provides a low‑power, serviceable option to activate a wide range of Rain Bird irrigation valves. Engineered for straightforward replacement, the TBOSPSOL ships with two prewired leads and fits multiple valve families so landscaping professionals and homeowners can upgrade controllers or repair existing valve assemblies quickly without reworking valve bodies.

Which Rain Bird valves will this solenoid fit?

The TBOSPSOL was made to be compatible with many common Rain Bird valve models. It mounts to the valve bonnet and connects using the supplied wires, making swaps simple when replacing an old or failed solenoid.

• Compatible series: DV, DVF, ASVF, PGA, PEB, PESB, GB, EFBCP, BPE, BPES.
• Designed to seat in existing Rain Bird solenoid ports without modification.
• Two 18‑gauge wires (60 cm) are included for immediate hookup.

How durable and powerful is the TBOSPSOL for everyday irrigation use?

Built to withstand typical irrigation pressures, the unit is rated to operate at pressures up to 150 psi (10.3 bar). The potted construction protects internal components from moisture and soil exposure, extending field lifespan compared with non‑potted designs.

• Maximum operating pressure: 150 psi (10.3 bar).
• Potted housing improves moisture resistance for outdoor conditions.
• Compact dimensions ease fitment in valve bodies with limited clearance.

What are the physical and electrical characteristics I should expect?

The TBOSPSOL is small and lightweight, with short, ready‑to‑connect lead wires to simplify installation. Its latching design minimizes battery drain when used with battery‑operated controllers.

• Model: TBOSPSOL (Product number K80920).
• Dimensions: width 1 3/8" (4.0 cm), height 2 3/8" (6.0 cm), depth 1 1/2" (4.2 cm).
• Included wiring: two 18‑gauge wires, 23.6" (60 cm) long for easy routing.

Is installation complicated and what should I check during replacement?

Installation is typically quick for anyone familiar with Rain Bird valve service. Ensure the valve is depressurized, retain the bonnet hardware, and connect the supplied leads to the controller or existing wiring, observing polarity if required by your controller design.

• Shut off irrigation supply and relieve pressure before servicing the valve.
• Verify the solenoid seat and bonnet threads are clean before installation.
• Test the circuit after wiring to confirm actuation and latching behavior.

Who is this for? The Fluidra Rain Bird TBOSPSOL is aimed at irrigation technicians, landscape contractors and DIY homeowners who need a dependable, low‑power replacement solenoid for Rain Bird valve families. It’s especially useful when upgrading to battery‑operated controllers or repairing valves in tight spaces where compact, potted components and prewired leads speed up field service and minimize downtime.
