FIRMERST 18/5 Solid Sprinkler Wire 100 ft — 18AWG x5 Direct-Burial UV-Resistant PVC

FIRMERST 18/5 solid sprinkler wire is a 100-foot, 18AWG x 5 conductor solid copper irrigation cable with a UV-resistant PVC jacket built for direct-burial use on up to four-valve sprinkler systems.

This heavy-duty irrigation control cable delivers a reliable, low-maintenance connection between your controller and solenoid valves. Engineered with five solid copper conductors inside a sunlight- and UV-resistant PVC sheath, the cable resists moisture, dirt, and prolonged outdoor exposure so you can run it underground or through conduits with confidence. Its nominal outer diameter of 6.5±0.5mm balances durability with flexibility, making routing and installation around landscape features straightforward.

How does this cable hold up outdoors and underground?

The FIRMERST 18/5 cable is coated in a weatherproof PVC jacket designed to stand up to sun, soil, and moisture without breaking down quickly. It’s rated for direct burial and resists dust and water intrusion, reducing the risk of shorts and corrosion when installed correctly.

• UV-resistant PVC outer jacket for long-term sun exposure protection
• Waterproof and dust-resistant construction for underground runs
• Solid copper conductors that limit corrosion risk compared to plated alloys
• Suitable for burial directly in soil or routed inside conduit

Will this wire work with my 4-valve irrigation system?

Yes — the 18AWG x 5 conductor format provides one common and four individual valve wires, matching the wiring needs of most four-zone controllers. The solid copper cores ensure dependable signal transmission to each solenoid over typical residential and commercial distances.

• Five conductors: one common plus four zone wires for up to four valves
• 18AWG gauge balances signal integrity with ease of pulling
• 100-foot length covers common yard and garden layouts
• Trim-to-length design: cut and connect where needed

How easy is it to install and maintain?

Installation is straightforward: uncoil, route to your valves, make standard irrigation connections, and bury or sleeve the cable. The wire’s flexibility helps when navigating around rocks, plantings, or existing pipes, and its robust jacket minimizes maintenance checks once installed properly.

• Flexible construction for easier pulling around obstacles
• Cut-to-size convenience — no pre-termination required
• Compatible with common irrigation wire connectors and waterproof splice methods
• Low-maintenance design suited for long-term underground use

What technical specs should I know before buying?

Key specifications help ensure compatibility with your system and installation plan. The cable measures approximately 6.5±0.5mm in outer diameter and contains five solid 18 AWG copper conductors protected by a UV-stable PVC jacket.

• Length: 100 feet (30.48 meters)
• Type: 18AWG x 5C solid copper conductors
• Outer diameter: 6.5±0.5mm
• Jacket: sunlight- and UV-resistant PVC; rated for direct burial

Who this is for: FIRMERST 18/5 solid sprinkler wire is aimed at homeowners, landscapers, and groundskeepers installing or upgrading multi-zone irrigation systems up to four valves. It’s particularly useful where a durable, weather-proof underground cable is required—residential yards, small commercial properties, community gardens, and sports or turf areas where reliable valve control is essential. If you need a simple, solid-core control cable that resists sun and soil exposure while offering easy installation, this product fits that need.
