Fiddle Leaf Fig Plant Food Organic Fiddle Leaf Fig Soil is a chunky, well-draining 7.5L potting mix formulated to support strong roots and glossy foliage for fiddle leaf figs and other tropical houseplants.
This handcrafted, 100% organic blend combines aged bark, green compost, and biochar to create a breathable, moisture-balanced substrate that reduces soggy conditions while retaining enough water for steady growth. Packaged in a resealable 7.5L bag and mixed in small batches in Oregon, the mix aims to give sensitive ficus varieties a stable, chemical-free home without excess salts or synthetic inputs.
The formula prioritizes drainage and aeration so excess water moves away from roots while porous components hold small amounts of moisture. That balance lowers the chance of waterlogged root zones, a common cause of rot in indoor trees.
Yes — the mix is designed to encourage root penetration and nutrient uptake by combining stable organic matter with mineral stability. Over time, roots can explore the airy structure more easily, supporting fuller stems and healthier leaves when combined with proper watering and light.
The blend fits a wide range of ficus varieties and tropical houseplants that favor chunky, well-draining soils. It works especially well for plants that dislike compacted or waterlogged mixes, offering a more natural home for root systems that prefer air and structure.
Blended in small batches by a family-run operation in Oregon, ingredients are locally sourced and treated to discourage pests. The resealable 7.5L bag preserves freshness and prevents moisture or contamination during storage between uses.
Who is this for: This soil mix is made for indoor gardeners who grow fiddle leaf figs and other ficus or tropical houseplants and want an organic, chunky substrate that improves drainage, encourages root health, and avoids synthetic salts. It suits beginners seeking a forgiving potting medium and experienced growers looking to repot sensitive trees into a stable, natural environment.
Q: Is this soil safe for other indoor plants?
A: Yes. The organic, well-draining mix suits many ficus and tropical houseplants that prefer chunky, airy soil.
Q: How often should I repot my fiddle leaf fig with this mix?
A: Repot every 12–24 months or when root-bound; refresh topsoil sooner if nutrient needs decline.
