Dphagesy Olive Drab 6-inch self-watering African violet pot is a two-piece ceramic planter with a breathable inner pot and a water-holding outer reservoir for steady moisture without wetting foliage.
This compact pot-in-pot system is made for African violets and similar small, rosette-forming houseplants. The inner pot is unglazed to allow controlled water absorption while the outer pot stores water so you can water less often and avoid over-saturating roots. Finished in a muted olive drab, the design blends with modern and traditional interiors while protecting leaves from splashes that cause leaf spots.
The two-piece construction separates soil from standing water while permitting moisture transfer through the unglazed inner pot. That reduces the risk of root rot from continuous saturation and keeps water off delicate violet leaves, preventing dark water spots. The reservoir supplies steady humidity to the root zone between top-ups.
The set includes an inner and outer ceramic pot sized for standard small African violets. Inner pot opening and height match typical nursery pots so you can repot without excessive root disturbance. Ceramic construction gives breathability and stable weight for tabletop placement.
Set the inner pot into the outer reservoir, pot the plant using a light, well-aerated African violet mix, and fill the outer pot with up to about 400 ml of water. Check water level every few weeks rather than daily; clean the outer pot every two months to avoid buildup. Avoid filling past 500 ml to prevent inner-pot overflow.
Who is this pot best suited for? The Dphagesy Olive Drab 6-inch self-watering pot is ideal for hobbyists and busy plant lovers who grow African violets, compact begonias, or other small rosette houseplants that benefit from steady moisture without foliar wetting. It fits windowsills, desks, and tables where a low-maintenance, attractive ceramic planter is preferred. Note: this listing is for the planter only; plants and potting mix are not included.
Q: How much water should I put in the outer reservoir?
A: Fill the outer pot to about 400 ml; do not exceed 500 ml to avoid inner-pot overflow.
Q: Can I use this pot for plants other than African violets?
A: Yes — it suits small rosette houseplants and compact species that prefer steady soil moisture.
