The Dphagesy 6-inch blue African Violet pot is a ceramic pot-in-pot planter with an unglazed inner cup that keeps violets consistently moist without wetting leaves.
This compact self-watering planter pairs an unglazed inner pot with a leakproof outer reservoir to give African violets the steady moisture they need while reducing the risk of water on foliage. Designed specifically for small rosette-forming houseplants, the system moderates air and moisture exchange so you can water less frequently and avoid common watering mistakes that harm delicate leaves.
The inner pot is intentionally unglazed so it wicks water from the outer reservoir into the potting mix gradually, promoting even moisture without saturating roots. The outer pot stores water and prevents spills, so you don’t have to water from above and wet the leaves.
This two-piece set is sized for small to medium African violets: the inner pot opens to 5.1 inches and stands 3.3 inches tall, while the outer pot measures 6 inches across and 4 inches high. For reliable operation, fill the reservoir to around 400 ml; do not exceed 500 ml to avoid inner-pot overflow.
The planter is made from ceramic; the inner cup is left unglazed for breathability and proper water uptake, while the outer cup has a finished interior that won’t leak. Routine care is simple: refresh the reservoir water and clean the outer pot every couple of months to prevent buildup.
The classic blue glaze of the outer pot provides a calm backdrop that highlights violet blooms without competing with them. The modest footprint and clean lines make it easy to group several pots or display a single plant in a living area, office, or kitchen window.
Who is this for? The Dphagesy 6-inch blue self-watering African violet pot is ideal for hobby growers, busy plant parents, and anyone who wants a low-fuss way to keep violets consistently hydrated while protecting delicate leaves. It’s a good choice if you prefer ceramic planters, need a tidy, leakproof reservoir for indoor display, and want a pot sized specifically for small rosette houseplants.
Q: How much water should I put in the reservoir?
A: Fill the outer pot to about 400 ml; do not exceed 500 ml to avoid overflow of the inner pot.
Q: Can I water from above instead of using the reservoir?
A: You can, but top-watering may wet leaves; the pot-in-pot system is designed to water from below to protect foliage.
