DEXSUR Durable OB Handle Apparatus is a stainless-steel calving aid with two handle puller hooks and two 60-inch chains designed for safe, controlled assistance during livestock deliveries.

When an animal needs help during birth, reliable, sanitary tools matter. The DEXSUR OB handle apparatus delivers a professional-grade, corrosion-resistant solution built for dairy farms and livestock operations. Its 60-inch chains offer reach and room to maneuver, while the two ergonomic handles and puller hooks provide steady grip and controlled traction. Lightweight and easy to sanitize, this instrument is suitable for use in barns, mobile units, or field settings.

How does this OB handle help during a difficult delivery?

The apparatus provides mechanical advantage to apply controlled, steady traction on a fetus when manual pulling is insufficient. Two separate chains allow for balanced force distribution and safer positioning during extraction attempts.

• Two handle puller hooks for secure attachment to obstetric chains
• 60-inch chains supply extended reach and improved leverage
• Stainless-steel construction maintains strength under load
• Handles designed for ergonomic grip to reduce slippage

What makes the materials and construction farm-ready?

The unit is fabricated from high-quality stainless steel to resist rust, withstand repeated cleaning, and endure outdoor barn conditions. Welding and finish are optimized for longevity, so it holds up to frequent use in veterinary and husbandry environments.

• Corrosion-resistant stainless steel for durability
• Smooth surfaces for quick cleaning and sanitization
• Robust joints to handle field stresses and repeated use
• Compact, portable form factor for easy transport and storage

Which animals and situations is this tool designed for?

DEXSUR designed the handle apparatus with versatility in mind: it fits common obstetric chains and works for cows, goats, sheep, and other medium-to-large livestock where assisted delivery may be required. Choose the appropriate chain length and technique for species and fetal size.

• Suitable for cattle, dairy cows, goats, and similar livestock
• Useful for on-farm deliveries, veterinary clinics, and emergency use
• Compatible with standard obstetric chain setups and accessories
• Available in multiple chain lengths (30", 45", 60") to match need

How do you maintain and sanitize the delivery apparatus?

Routine cleaning keeps the tool hygienic and extends service life. Stainless-steel surfaces clean easily with warm water and approved disinfectants; inspect hooks and welds regularly for wear or damage.

• Rinse off organic matter immediately after use
• Use neutral detergent and disinfectant safe for stainless steel
• Air-dry or towel-dry to prevent water spots and residue
• Routine inspection for deformation or compromised joints

Who is this for: The DEXSUR Durable OB Handle Apparatus is built for farm owners, herd managers, large-animal veterinarians, and livestock technicians who need a dependable, long-lasting delivery aid. It suits anyone who requires a portable, easy-to-clean instrument that pairs with standard obstetric chains and provides secure handling during assisted births. Select the 60-inch chains when extended reach and greater maneuverability are necessary, or opt for shorter lengths when working in confined spaces.
