This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

The DeWit Forged Transplant Trowel is a hand-forged, narrow-bladed garden trowel with a tempered boron-steel blade and an ash hardwood handle built for precise planting and long life.
Built in the Dutch forging tradition, this transplant trowel combines a slim, razor-edged blade with a lightweight, elastic ash handle so you can plant bulbs, move seedlings, and work in tight beds without fatigue. The blade’s full-length sharpening and tempered boron-steel construction give it strength and edge retention, while the FSC-certified European ash handle absorbs shock and resists breakage. Backed by DeWit’s limited lifetime guarantee, this tool is designed to be used season after season.
The trowel’s slim profile slips into confined spaces and around roots more easily than a wider garden trowel, letting you place plants and bulbs at the right depth without disturbing adjacent soil. The full-length sharpened edge aids clean cutting through compacted soil and light roots.
DeWit forges the blade from tempered boron steel, a material prized for strength and durability. The blade is hand-forged and heat-treated to resist bending and retain its edge, while the ash handle adds resilient flexibility to withstand repeated leverage and knocks.
The short ash hardwood handle is shaped for a secure, ergonomic grip that reduces hand strain during repetitive tasks like transplanting and weeding. Ash offers natural elasticity that helps the tool flex slightly under load instead of cracking, and its lightweight feel keeps the whole tool balanced.
Unlike stamped or welded imports, this DeWit trowel is forged and tempered, which produces a tougher, longer-lasting blade and a more refined edge. The combination of premium boron steel and a hardwood handle designed for resilience and balance gives it advantages in precision jobs and longevity.
Who this is for: gardeners who value precision, durability, and craftsmanship will appreciate the DeWit Forged Transplant Trowel — especially those who plant bulbs, tend crowded containers, or perform frequent transplanting in raised beds and borders. It’s a smart pick for serious hobbyists, professional gardeners, and anyone seeking a single, dependable hand tool that will last for years.
Key specifications:
Q: Is the DeWit transplant trowel good for clay soil?
A: Yes. The tempered boron-steel blade and sharpened edge cut through compacted clay better than unstiffened stamped trowels.
Q: Does the handle require special care?
A: Treating the ash handle occasionally with oil will preserve the wood and extend the tool’s life.
