DAVCO 1.5" x 100 ft Pool Backwash Hose — Heavy-Duty PVC, 90 PSI Reinforced Discharge Hose

DAVCO's 1.5" x 100 ft pool backwash hose is a heavy-duty PVC discharge hose reinforced with polyester yarn, built to handle high-pressure backwash and repeated use without splitting or leaking.

When you need a reliable, reusable hose to move large volumes of water from a pool filter, pump, or sump, this DAVCO backwash hose is designed for the job. It combines a reinforced PVC construction with a standard 1.5-inch profile so it connects easily to most filter outlets, camlock fittings or clamps. The hose stores flat when not in use, resists chemicals and weather exposure, and is suitable for pool maintenance as well as general water discharge tasks in landscaping or construction.

How strong and durable is this DAVCO backwash hose?

The hose uses PVC layered over polyester yarn reinforcement to resist burst, abrasion and kinking under typical pool backwash pressures. It’s engineered for 90 psi working pressure, delivering a heavy-duty feel compared with thin, single-layer hoses that tear easily.

• Reinforced polyester yarn core for tensile strength and flexibility
• Rated for up to 90 psi working pressure
• Chemical- and weather-resistant PVC outer layer
• Built to withstand repeated roll-up and rough handling

Will this hose fit my pool filter or pump?

The hose is a standard 1.5-inch backwash hose, with a flat width of approximately 2.6 inches, designed to match most 1.5" filter outlets, camlock or pin-lug fittings. It can also connect to 1" or smaller Schedule 40/80 PVC pipe with the right adapter or clamp; always measure your outlet before buying to confirm compatibility.

• Standard 1.5" ID fits many filtration system outlets
• Works with camlock and pin-lug style connectors
• Compatible with 1" or smaller Schedule 40/80 PVC when adapted
• Installation is simple with hose clamps or quick-connect fittings

What tasks can I use this hose for beyond pool backwash?

Although optimized for pool backwashing and filter discharge, the DAVCO hose is versatile for a range of water management jobs. It handles pool draining, pump discharge, irrigation, temporary site dewatering, and submersible pump hookups where a rugged, flexible hose is needed.

• Pool backwash and filter waste discharge
• Pool pump outlet and drain operations
• Agricultural irrigation and landscape water transfer
• Construction dewatering and submersible pumping setups

How do I store and maintain the hose for long life?

After use, rinse away debris, drain remaining water, and roll the hose flat for compact storage in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight. Avoid prolonged UV exposure and mechanical pinching; periodic inspection for cracks or wear keeps it serviceable season after season.

• Rinse and drain after each use to remove chemicals and sediment
• Roll flat and store indoors or shaded area to prevent UV damage
• Check fittings and clamp tightness before each connection
• Replace if visible cracking or severe abrasion appears

Who is this for: Homeowners, pool service professionals, landscapers and contractors who need an affordable, reusable discharge hose that connects to standard 1.5-inch outlets. If you want a more robust alternative to thin, single-layer backwash hoses—one that tolerates repeated handling, chemical exposure and the pressures of pool filtration systems—this DAVCO 1.5" x 100 ft hose is a practical, multi-purpose choice.
