The Costa Farms Haworthia is a compact, low-water indoor succulent with striped green leaves, delivered planted in a charcoal ceramic pot topped with river rock.
Originating from South Africa, this Haworthia offers an attractive striped—often called zebra—leaf pattern and a small rosette form that fits naturally into tight spots like windowsills, desks, and bookshelves. Grown by Costa Farms in Miami, this short-stemmed succulent arrives ready to display and demands only occasional attention: moderate to bright light, infrequent watering, and protection from extreme drafts and freezing temperatures.
Haworthia thrives in medium to bright indirect light; too little light slows growth and dulls the stripes, while harsh direct sun can scorch the leaves. A bright east- or west-facing window is ideal, or a few feet back from a south window.
This Haworthia tolerates drought and prefers the “soak and dry” method: water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry before watering again. It’s shallow-rooted and can endure weeks without water, so err on the dry side to avoid overwatering.
This cultivar stays compact—typically 2–3 inches tall and about 4 inches wide—making it perfect for small containers and crowded shelves. Protect it from cold drafts and do not expose it to temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Costa Farms selects healthy specimens similar to the images, but natural variation occurs with season, growing environment, and availability. Each plant you receive is chosen for quality and shipped with protective packaging to arrive in good condition.
Who is this for? The Costa Farms Haworthia is ideal for beginners, busy professionals, or anyone seeking a low-effort houseplant that adds texture and greenery to small spaces. It also makes a thoughtful gift for housewarmings, desks, or student rooms where compact, resilient plants are preferred. With minimal watering, moderate light, and basic seasonal feeding, this succulent brings a long-lasting, decorative touch to indoor living spaces.
Q: How often should I water this Haworthia?
A: Water thoroughly then let soil dry; typically every 2–4 weeks depending on indoor humidity and season.
Q: Can this succulent survive low light rooms?
A: It tolerates lower light but prefers medium to bright indirect light for best color and growth.
