COCONIQ Premium Coco Coir Bricks are compact, compressed coconut-fiber blocks that expand with water into a clean, lightweight growing medium ideal for potting, seed starting, and soil conditioning.
These eight compressed cocopeat bricks are made from sun-dried coconut husks and are designed to expand when soaked, providing a loose, aerated substrate that holds moisture while improving drainage. Because they ship small and light, they save storage space and reduce shipping costs until you’re ready to rehydrate and use them. The low-dust, natural fiber blend supports healthy root development and can be used on its own or mixed with compost, perlite, or potting soil to tailor texture and nutrient retention for different plants.
Rehydrating a brick is quick and straightforward: place the brick in a container, add water, and allow it time to absorb. Depending on the brick size and water volume, full expansion typically takes 10–30 minutes; break apart clumps with a fork or gloved hands to create a uniform texture before use.
Yes — coco coir is versatile enough for seed starting, potting mixes, and as a soil amendment. It holds moisture evenly while maintaining air spaces around roots, which helps seedlings establish and supports mature plants when blended with nutrients or compost.
Bricks are designed for compact storage prior to use; keep them dry, cool, and out of direct sunlight to preserve quality. Because they are low-dust and manufactured from natural coconut husks, handling is generally clean, though wearing gloves when breaking up fully dry bricks can improve comfort.
Absolutely — coco coir is a neutral, multipurpose base that blends well with compost, perlite, vermiculite, and slow-release fertilizers. It doesn’t supply significant nutrients on its own, so mixing with nutrient sources or top-dressing is recommended for longer-term container plantings and heavy-feeding vegetables.
Who is this for: COCONIQ Premium Coco Coir Bricks suit hobby gardeners, balcony growers, indoor plant enthusiasts, and professional growers who want a lightweight, storable growing medium. They’re ideal for people starting seeds, repotting houseplants, improving garden soil texture, or preparing lightweight media for grow bags and containers. If you need a clean, recyclable, and easy-to-use substrate that expands on demand, these cocopeat bricks offer a flexible solution without bulk.
Q: How much water does one brick need to expand?
A: One brick typically needs warm water to fully expand; volume varies by brick size but usually requires several liters.
Q: Is COCONIQ coco coir safe for indoor plants?
A: Yes. It's a low-dust, natural coconut fiber suitable for indoor use when fully rehydrated and fluffed.
