Clonex Rooting Gel is a tenacious, water-based rooting compound designed to encourage root initiation and development in plant cuttings.
Engineered for hobbyists, nurseries and commercial growers, this 250ml formula combines a balanced dose of IBA in a clingy gel carrier that stays in contact with fresh cut surfaces. Manufactured under controlled laboratory conditions, the product is intended to improve the odds of successful propagation versus dry powders by delivering hormone and supportive ingredients directly where a cutting needs them.
Using Clonex is straightforward: make a clean cut on the stem, dip the wound into the gel so the treating area is fully covered, then place the cutting into your chosen rooting medium. Keep humidity high and medium moist until new roots form; frequency and timing vary with plant species.
Clonex is formulated for a broad range of soft-tissue and semi-hardwood cuttings, making it useful for ornamentals, herbs, and many nursery stock varieties. While effective across many species, rooting speed and success depend on the individual plant and environmental factors.
The gel carrier clings to the cutting, maintaining continuous contact with the treated area and reducing product loss compared with powders. That prolonged contact can support consistent hormone delivery and keep the wound shielded while roots begin to form.
Keep the container sealed and stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use gloves when applying, avoid ingestion, and keep out of reach of children and pets; follow local disposal guidance for chemical products.
Who is this for: Clonex Rooting Gel 250ml is intended for home gardeners experimenting with cuttings, professional growers scaling propagation, and nursery operators seeking a reliable, lab-made rooting aid. It suits anyone wanting a clean, easy-to-apply rooting treatment that stays in place on fresh cuttings and supports consistent propagation workflows.
Q: How much Clonex gel should I use per cutting?
A: Dip the basal 1–2 cm of the cutting into the gel, covering the wound without excess; insert immediately into the rooting medium.
Q: Can I use Clonex on all plant types?
A: Clonex works for many soft-tissue and semi-hardwood cuttings, but rooting response varies by species and environmental conditions.
