How easy is it to carry and set up this fire pit?

Ciays engineered this fire pit for straightforward transport and minimal assembly. The legs fold flat and the unit measures 19" x 8" when folded, making it simple to stow in a vehicle or garage. The included 10 ft hose and preinstalled fittings mean you won’t need extra adapters for most standard tanks.

• Compact folding dimensions: 19" x 8" for storage
• Preassembled 10 ft hose for quick connection
• Carrying strap and compact cover included
• Hose hooks and propane tank holder built into design

What safety and ignition features does it include?

Safety was prioritized with an automatic flameout protection system that cuts gas if the flame goes out, and a piezo electric ignition that lights the burner without batteries. The piezo knob is simple to operate—press and hold, then turn to ignite—reducing reliance on matches or lighters.

• Flameout protection shuts gas off if flame extinguishes
• Piezo electric ignition requires no external power or batteries
• Electroplated control knob for reliable starts
• Designed for safer use under common outdoor conditions

Can you cook on this fire pit and how hot does it get?

The cast-iron grate provides a durable cooking surface for grilling and warming food while the unit produces up to 58,000 BTU, enough to serve as a primary heat source for small gatherings. The rust-resistant grate withstands outdoor use and distributes heat evenly for cooking.

• Cast-iron grate for grilling and durable heat contact
• 58,000 BTU total output for strong, consistent warmth
• Lava rock bed helps distribute and retain heat
• Suitable for warming, grilling, or as an outdoor fire element

Does it work where wood fires are restricted?

Yes. Because this model runs on propane and produces a cleaner flame with minimal smoke, it’s often acceptable in areas with wood-fire restrictions. The quick shutoff safety system also helps meet stricter campsite or local safety rules, but always confirm local regulations before use.

• Propane-fueled for low-smoke operation
• Flameout protection reduces unattended-fire risk
• Compact, portable design for regulated campsites
• Ideal alternative during wood-burning bans (verify rules locally)

Who is this for: The Ciays 19" propane fire pit suits campers, patio hosts, and outdoor cooks who want a portable, high-heat fire source without smoke. It’s a good match for people who need easy setup, a durable grilling surface, and added safety features—anyone who values transportability and full accessory coverage for immediate outdoor use.
