The California Air Tools 255C is a portable 2.5-gallon pressure pot built to reduce bubbles and give consistent, controllable results when casting epoxy resin.
Compact and constructed from coated steel, this pressure pot pairs an easy-to-clean tank with a full control kit — regulator, input connector, on/off ball valve and a pressure relief valve — so you can pressurize molds up to 60 PSI operating (80 PSI max) with confidence. Rubber feet keep the pot steady while a top handle makes it simple to move between bench and work table. It’s a straightforward way to improve clarity and strength of small to medium resin pours without a large footprint or complicated setup.
Applying pressure during cure compresses trapped air and microscopic bubbles so they don’t expand as the resin hardens, producing clearer, stronger castings. The 2.5-gallon chamber fits many molds used for jewelry, small sculptures, tabletops accents and tooling samples. Using the built-in regulator and relief valve lets you dial in consistent pressure for repeatable outcomes.
Yes — the 255C was designed for straightforward operation: attach your air hose to the input connector, set pressure with the regulator, and monitor with the relief valve and ball valve. The coated steel interior wipes clean after use, and rubber feet prevent movement on benches. Its 22-pound weight and top handle make relocation practical for makers who switch work areas.
The unit comes equipped with a pressure regulator for accurate setpoints plus an on/off ball valve to isolate pressure quickly. A pressure relief valve provides a fail-safe to release excess pressure, and the design meets common workshop safety expectations when used per instructions. Operating and maximum pressure ratings are clearly specified to avoid over-pressurizing applications.
The 2.5-gallon capacity targets small and medium resin pours: jewelry, coasters, small river-table inserts, model parts and silicone mold casting. It works with most two-part epoxy resins and casting compounds that benefit from pressure-assisted curing. For very large pours or industrial volume casting, larger dedicated pressure vessels would be more appropriate.
Who is this for: The California Air Tools 255C is aimed at hobbyists, makers, small studio artists and light-production shops who want better clarity and fewer bubbles in bench-scale resin castings. If you need a durable, portable pressure pot with straightforward controls and easy maintenance for repeated small-to-medium pours, this model delivers an efficient, user-friendly solution.
Q: What maximum and operating pressures does the 255C support?
A: The 255C has an operating pressure of 60 PSI and a maximum rated pressure of 80 PSI.
Q: Can the tank be cleaned after resin spills?
A: Yes. The coated steel interior wipes clean and resists resin adhesion for straightforward maintenance.
