The Beckett 1800 GPH submersible pump is a compact, oil-free water mover built for ponds, fountains, small waterfalls and water gardens, delivering up to 1875 gallons per hour with a 16.3-foot maximum head.
This pump uses a simple, seal-free design with a single moving impeller shaft, eliminating oil and many wear points to reduce maintenance and the risk of leaks into your water feature. Its all-plastic body and included washable foam prefilters make it a durable, low-maintenance option for indoor or outdoor aquatic installations. The unit is intended for continuous submersible operation and accepts 1.5-inch flexible tubing at the top outlet for easy plumbing.
The Beckett pump circulates up to 1875 GPH under optimal conditions and has a maximum vertical lift (head) of 16.3 feet for a single fountain jet. Actual flow depends on your tubing, fittings, and the height you need. Expect lower flow as head increases; plan plumbing and fountain nozzles accordingly.
The pump’s design avoids oil and uses only one moving part — an impeller on a shaft — reducing common failure points and the chance of fluid leaks. Two washable foam prefilters snap onto the inlet to block debris and protect the impeller; they are removable for quick rinsing. This simplicity lowers upkeep compared with sealed or oil-lubricated models.
Yes — it’s rated for both indoor and outdoor submersible use and is suited to a variety of applications including aquariums, water gardens, fountains, and small to medium waterfalls. Size the pump to your pond volume and desired waterfall width/height to ensure proper circulation and aesthetics. The unit is intended to remain submerged during operation and comes with a 16-foot power cord for flexible placement.
Installation is straightforward: fully submerge the unit on a stable surface, attach 1.5" tubing to the top outlet, and plug into a properly rated outdoor GFCI-protected outlet if outdoors. Periodically remove and rinse the foam prefilters and clear debris from the intake to maintain flow. Avoid running the pump dry and position it where circulating water prevents excessive sediment buildup.
Who is this for: The Beckett 1800 GPH submersible pump is tailored for homeowners and hobbyists who need a reliable, low-maintenance water mover for medium ponds, decorative fountains, and small waterfalls. It particularly suits users who prefer an oil-free design for wildlife safety, want easy-to-clean prefilters, and need a pump that balances strong flow with simple installation and upkeep. The included two-year limited warranty also appeals to anyone seeking extra assurance for long-term outdoor use.
Q: Is the Beckett pump safe for fish and plants?
A: Yes. The pump is oil-free and uses washable foam prefilters, reducing contamination risk and protecting aquatic life.
Q: What size tubing fits the pump outlet?
A: The top outlet accepts 1.5-inch flexible tubing, making standard pond plumbing straightforward.
