Awa Nest's hand-blown glass hummingbird feeder is a 28 fl. oz. leak-proof outdoor feeder with an ant moat, bee-resistant ports, and a rust-proof base designed for all-season use.
This decorative feeder blends durable craftsmanship with practical features so you can enjoy hummingbirds year-round. The thick, hand-blown glass reservoir holds a generous 28 ounces of nectar, while the rust-resistant base and built-in pest protection reduce maintenance. Its wide mouth and smooth interior make filling and cleaning quick, and the sturdy construction is compatible with most external heaters for colder months.
The feeder uses an integrated ant moat and specially designed ports to deter insects without blocking hummingbird access. The moat holds a thin barrier that interrupts ant trails, while the port shapes discourage bees from entering the feeding area.
Yes — the thick hand-blown glass adds natural insulation and weight, and the base hardware is rust-resistant to handle rain, sun, and wind. For freezing conditions, the feeder works with many external heater attachments and bottom-mounted warmers to keep nectar from solidifying.
The feeder’s wide mouth simplifies filling and measuring nectar, while the smooth, non-porous glass interior scrubs clean easily. Fewer refills are required thanks to the large capacity, and routine rinses keep nectar fresh for the birds.
Each Awa Nest feeder is hand-blown, so color variations and subtle differences in glass thickness give every piece its own character. The decorative finish remains fade-resistant outdoors, making it a lasting accent for patios, porches, or a garden setting.
Who is this for: This feeder is ideal for backyard birdwatchers who want a low-maintenance, high-capacity solution with pest protection and winter readiness. It suits homeowners and apartment dwellers with balconies who want a durable, attractive feeder that minimizes refilling and withstands changing weather. Garden gift shoppers will also appreciate the artisanal glass and practical features that help keep hummingbirds fed through spring, summer, and into cold months.
Q: How often should I change the nectar?
A: Change nectar every 3–5 days in warm weather and at least weekly in cooler conditions to prevent fermentation and keep it fresh.
Q: Is the base dishwasher safe?
A: The glass bottle is easy to hand-wash; remove metal parts before washing and clean them separately to preserve rust resistance.
