Aspect Living Automatic Chicken Coop Door — Solar-Powered Dual Horizontal 11.6x8.6 in Opening, LCD & IP65 Weatherproof

The Aspect Living Automatic Chicken Coop Door is a solar-powered, IP65-rated dual-horizontal door that opens and closes on timer, light sensor, remote, or manual control while protecting birds with an anti-pinch safety system.

Keep your flock safe, save time, and avoid nightly checks with an automated door built for durability and convenience. This model combines a 7W high-power solar panel, a clear LCD display for simple programming, and a horizontally dual-door design that accommodates larger birds and limited-roof coops. Its weatherproof aluminum construction and rapid safety sensor are designed to withstand tough outdoor conditions and reduce risks from predators and mechanical injury.

How does the dual-horizontal design improve safety and space use?

The horizontally sliding dual doors open wide to create an 11.6 x 8.6 inch passage that accommodates chickens up to about 20 lbs, which is larger than typical vertical guillotine doors. Because both doors move horizontally and simultaneously, the design reduces pinching risk and works well in coops with low ceilings or perches near the opening.

• Extra-large 11.6 x 8.6 in opening fits heavier breeds.
• Horizontal motion prevents vertical pinch points common in guillotine doors.
• Suitable for low-roof or low-clearance coop layouts.
• Both doors open together to clear trapped birds quickly.

What power and control options does it offer for daily use?

The door runs primarily from the high-efficiency 7W solar panel with battery support and offers four convenient operating modes: Light Sensor (sunrise/sunset), Timer (custom times), Remote Control (up to 49.2 ft), and Manual override for immediate operation. The intuitive LCD shows mode, battery level, and timing so you can monitor and adjust settings at a glance.

• 7W solar panel with onboard battery for off-sun operation.
• Light sensor mode for automatic sunrise/sunset scheduling.
• Timer mode for exact open/close times to match your routine.
• Remote control and manual modes for on-demand operation.

How does the anti-pinch safety system work to protect birds?

A fast-response safety sensor reacts in about 0.2 seconds to detect obstructions and immediately adjusts both doors to open, preventing trapping or crushing. The mechanism prioritizes bird safety without sacrificing reliability, and the horizontally sliding panels are less likely to snag feathers or feet compared with vertical designs.

• 0.2s sensor reaction time to detect obstacles instantly.
• Doors reverse/open if a bird is in the threshold.
• Sensor prioritizes safety over closing speed for protection.
• Horizontal action minimizes snagging and compression risks.

Will this door withstand weather and predator threats?

The casing is made from rugged aluminum alloy with IP65 weatherproofing, rated to operate in temperatures from -15°F to 140°F (-26°C to 60°C). It resists rain, snow, dust, and wind and provides a fortified barrier to deter common predators when closed and locked.

• Sturdy aluminum alloy housing for long-term outdoor use.
• IP65 rating for dust and water resistance in wet weather.
• Operable across wide temperature ranges without failure.
• Secure closure helps keep out coyotes, foxes, and snakes.
