You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

The API Allied Precision 7521 is a thermostatically controlled 1,500-watt floating de‑icer designed to keep stock tanks and small ponds ice-free through winter.
Built for reliability in cold climates, this floating de‑icer combines a buoyant, weatherproof housing with a stainless steel heating element and safety controls to maintain an open water surface and help prevent ice-related harm to livestock and pond ecosystems. It runs on standard 120V household power and includes built-in thermal feedback and automatic shutoff features to reduce the risk of overheating. Recommended for containers roughly 100–300 gallons, the unit is UL and CSA listed and covered by a one-year warranty.
The unit produces consistent heat at the water’s surface, creating an unfrozen patch that allows gases to escape and provides access for animals. A built-in thermostat cycles power to maintain temperature efficiently and prevent continuous overrun.
The de‑icer has multiple safety-minded design choices and certifications to lower risk during routine use. It is UL and CSA listed and features an enclosed, rugged float that resists waterlogging and damage from weather.
Installation is straightforward—place the unit on the water surface and plug it into a properly rated, weatherproof outlet. Position the cord to avoid abrasion and check local electrical codes for outdoor appliance use.
Minimal maintenance is required: keep the float and element clean of heavy debris and inspect the cord and housing before each season. The stainless steel element and sealed float are built to resist common weathering, but follow recommended safety guides to extend service life.
Who is this for: The Allied Precision 7521 is intended for livestock owners, hobby pond keepers, and property managers who need a reliable surface de‑icer for 100–300 gallon tanks or small ponds. It suits anyone who wants a low‑maintenance, thermostatically controlled floating heater to keep a breathing hole in ice, support animal access to unfrozen water, or maintain a gas-release point in winter ponds—provided installation follows electrical and guard recommendations for non-metal tanks.
Q: What tank size is best for this de‑icer?
A: Recommended for stock tanks and ponds of about 100–300 gallons for effective surface thawing.
Q: Do I need any extra parts to use it safely?
A: If your tank is non-metallic, purchase the separate metal guard (Model 88R) as a safety precaution.
